Seepage Mitigation is an important factor on many sites to control erosion, prevent migration of contaminants, or keep groundwater from entering excavations or below grade structures.
Seepage problems can also occur beneath the foundations of flood control structures. Solutions for these sites could include installation of a base seal or bottom plug to prevent water infiltration during installation of a cut and cover tunnel, for example, or installing a seepage barrier at a dam by means of a cutoff wall.
